How are you using role-playing to ensure your team has the best-selling direction, structures, skills and messaging? One of the ways we can increase the success of our team is by making sure they have all the skills and language they need to properly communicate and handle any challenges they get from a customer.
One of the best ways we can train a salesperson to do that is through role playing. But role-playing has lost a lot of its favor today. It used to be a normal part of every sales meeting in the old days, practicing and role-playing to make sure you had the proper language when you did get in front of a customer and it was important you be persuasive.
You don’t have to role-play the entire sales call. We don’t have to go from the very beginning of “Hello, nice to meet you…” to the end. But we can role-play segments… pieces of the sales call. When a customer says “this,” what’s our response? How about if the customer gives you this answer, what are you going to say?
It’s working out the best practices of the most critical answers your team needs to give to the most commonly asked questions or objections from your customers.
Role-playing can help your people increase their success and effectiveness. Think this is a skill you could reintroduce to your team?
Join me as I share, step-by-step, how you can use role playing with your team to increase their selling consistency and effectiveness…so they can sell even more!
