Notice it’s getting harder to get a buyer’s attention and to even get them on the phone? Today’s buyer has the mentality there are so many competitors out there, all selling the same stuff, and they’re so easily found on Google.
They’re assuming there’s no need to spend a lot of time building relationships with any individual reps (and their companies). If they don’t like what you’re saying, they assume they can easily find somebody else.
We need to make sure our customers see we have differences and uniqueness offering more value and services than anyone else. Today we need to show we’re approaching their problems from a different angle with greater benefits.
If we can’t prove our uniqueness, then our buyers are just going to assume there’s a swarm mentality of five more vendors also interested in their business. And if they feel there’s a swarm of competitors they’ll only buy based on lowest price.
