Are you coaching your reps to not give up?

Sales has gotten a lot tougher than what it was ten or even 15 years ago. Customers are harder to reach. They don’t return phone calls anymore. When you stop by their office, they’re not available. They don’t answer the phone when you do call.

The challenge we have is customers are harder to reach. And the problem with that is a lot of salespeople tend to give up.

There was a study years ago that identified the average customer doesn’t really respond to a sales rep until they hit about five attempts. But the average sales rep gives up after the second attempt. We’ve got to make sure that today’s success in selling is based on tenacity.

If you have a prospect or an old customer you’re trying to get in touch with, you’ve got to keep trying. You can’t give up. We’re not going to be able to sell anything until we break through and are able to get to the buyer’s attention. So because of that, tenacity has become a critical component of selling.

What can you do to make sure your sales reps understand we need to keep trying? We need to keep pushing that we can’t give up.

Today’s video shares proven ways you can strengthen your rep’s selling tenacity…so they can sell even more!
